No Tariffs on Russia? What a Surprise!
All of Trump's actions must be looked at from one perspective: whose interests do they serve?
The continued failure of the major media to report accurately on anything related to Donald Trump is nothing short of a travesty. Yes, a large part of this administration’s goal is to create chaos. But in most cases, if an action or policy or executive order makes no sense, all you have to do is ask yourself: does this help Vladimir Putin? Nine times out of ten, if the answer is “yes,” the policy suddenly makes sense. So why is that not reflected in the headlines?
I am no Russia expert, but it seems fairly obvious that Putin has been playing a long game against the United States. Having a “useful idiot” back in the White House — more ruthless and unrestrained than the last time around — is finally paying off.
Against my better judgment, I also decided to check out how Fox News is spinning the tariff madness.
This one isn’t even worth marking up. This is the type of “news” and “analysis” that a large percentage of Americans consume on a daily basis. Is it any wonder they voted for the likes of Donald Trump? After all, he is “liberating the US from decline.”
And that’s right, there are no tariffs imposed on Russia. Go figure.
Today’s blog is a rant. I just couldn’t help myself. Feel free to add your own rant in the comments.
Yep, I have been complaining about the NYT article titles for at least a year now. Love your suggested rewrites as much more accurate and hope they see that their reporting is actually erroneous rather than just… cautious?
Thank you for this. Agree that Putin is a big part of this, but in addition the imposition of tariffs also gives Trump leverage over U.S. industries. If they want Trump to give them some relief they have to assure him they’ll toe the official party line. Basically this does for industry what he’s already been trying with law firms and universities.
